Interpretation of Test Scores:

Damon scored mostly 3s. He would be good for the average home, whether a first time or second time dog owner. He can be a high-energy dog and may need lots of exercise. He would generally be good with people, other animals, and children. He will need to have structure and follow a consistent schedule at his new home. He will need training but he will do very well at it and learn quickly. Damon scored well with Touch Sensitivity but consistent brushing and nail trimming is still highly encouraged. The more he's exposed to these grooming practices, the more he will become desensitized.  Also, ensure that when you go to the vet, bring treats so that you can reinforce that positive experience of being handled by strangers.  Damon was very friendly and relaxed during the test and scored very well.

Other Observations:

From what we've observed over the weeks, Damon is friendly, social, and playful but he is more mellow. He plays well with other pups and loves attention from people. When we introduced him to our cat, he was excited at first and wagged his tail but when our cat started doing weird cat movements, he was a little weirded out and distanced himself, which is fine because some pups need extra time warming up to new situations, people, and animals. We do not doubt that Damon would warm up to the cat in time and develop a bond with him. He would make a great companion dog and with proper socialization and training, he can be a well rounded dog someday.
