personality: screech is a sweet, friendly boy. he is playful and loves human interaction. he seems very attentive and able to switch gears between being very playful to pausing for a moment to observe his surroundings. often times, when we're standing over their playpen, instead of immediately running up, he would sit and stare at you for a few seconds. taking his pictures has been easy as he mostly sits back and watches. he's always been a very observant guy! screech did well during the temperament test. he was a little hesitant at first, which is natural for a young puppy in a strange, unfamiliar room. he quickly warmed up and was easy to work with.
Note: The volhard puppy aptitude test is simply a snapshot of what a puppy is like now but may have little bearing on what the pup will be as an adult. this temperament test is only a point in time, and factors like sleepiness or simply an off-day can impact testing. proper socialization, desensitization, and training in the first few months of a puppy's life are crucial components in shaping a dog's adult life. what we, as the breeder, observe over these past weeks hold more weight than this test, in our humble opinion. with that said, take these results with a grain of salt.
volhard puppy aptitude test results & recommendation: mostly 3s.
screech would be good for the average home, whether a first time or second time dog owner with an active lifestyle. He can be a high-energy dog and may need lots of exercise. He would generally be good with people, other animals, and children. He will need to have structure and follow a consistent schedule at his new home. He will need training but he will do very well at it and learn quickly. Socialization and desensitization training should continue at new home especially during the first year of his life but most especially during the first 12 weeks.
